Full Itinerary
Day 01: Phnom Penh Arrival (D)
Once you reach Phnom Penh, you will meet our guide at the airport, who will show you to the hotel downtown. It is absolutely that you may be jet-lagged after such a long flight, so just relax in your hotel after check-in. Phnom Penh is a chaos capital where the traditional Asian customs combine with essential western customs in a charming way. In the evening, we may have a tour briefing and welcome dinner with the delicacy of Khmer. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 02: Phnom Penh City Tour (B, L)
Breakfast at your hotel. Start your city tour by a visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, which is a former high school used as the Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the communist Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 to 1979.
The next destination would be the famous Royal Palace built in 1866, which is a treasure chest of Angkorian and pre-Angkorian artifacts. After that, scale up the steps of a small hill to see Wat Phnom Temple which is the birthplace of Phnom Penh. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, go shopping at the Central Market and Toul Tompong Market. You will feel a bustling daily life of the locals and learn more about Cambodian characteristics through local specialties, their houses, their faces, Palaces, and buildings of Khmer & Colonial style architecture.
Day 03: Phnom Penh - Fly to Sihanoukville - Cycle along the Coast of Sihanoukville (B)
Have breakfast at the hotel before departing for Cambodia’s foremost beach resort: Sihanoukville. Check-in the hotel and enjoy the beach. In the late afternoon, cycle around town to “get in the mood of cycling”. Visit a pagoda on top of the hill where you can admire a great view along the coast of Sihanoukville before return to the hotel.
Day 04: Ride to Kampot (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we travel 15km out of the town to avoid traffic jams. This ride is a real challenge for the rider, not only for the difficult terrain but also for the extremely long distance of 80km. Fortunately, the support vehicle will be available whenever you need.
Cycle along the coastal road to Kampot town where have the magnificent Elephant Mountains as a backdrop. Pass the peaceful countryside and meet some local people greeting you with a smile. Enjoy a picnic for lunch on the way.
Kampot is located on the banks of a river with a relaxing and shady boulevard. French colonial buildings still present in town and it has a truly relaxing atmosphere overlooking the mountain range and sunset over the river. Overnight in Kampot.
Day 05: Swim & Snorkel in Rabbit Island (B, L)
A real trip to the Cambodian coast must include some true island relaxation. After breakfast in the morning, take a short boat ride to Rabbit Island, enjoy the beaches, swim and snorkel then have lunch with seafood. Explore the island to get to know more about the simple rural life of the residents on the island. In the late afternoon, take a boat back to Kampot and overnight in your hotel.
Day 06: Kampot Cycle to Takeo (B, L, D)
Depart for Takeo after breakfast. This is another long riding day with 75km we have to cover. And the support vehicle will also be ready whenever you need. Our route has to pass both the smooth paved road and slightly bumpy village roads as well. Although the accommodation is basic, it has enough comfortable to spend a night in Takeo. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight in a guest house.
Day 07: Takeo Cycle to Phnom Penh (B, L)
Ride through the villages and fields, see the farmers who are working very hard on their farms. During our trip, stop several times for the snack breaks and go on towards Tonle Bati Temple. The pretty garden surrounds it makes it a great treat before exploring the massive Angkor Wat Complex. Rest at a local restaurant for the lunch before continue cycling to Phnom Penh. Arrive in Phnom Penh in the late afternoon and check-in hotel.
Day 08: Phnom Penh – Departure (B)
Have your breakfast and relax until transfer to the airport. You have had unforgettable Cambodia holidays. Trip ends.
