Day 01: Phnom Penh Sightseeing (B, L, D)
Once you land in Po Chen Tong Airport, our guide will meet you and take you to the hotel arranged. Phnom Penh is a vibrant capital where was once considered the loveliest city of Indochina. Although it experienced turbulent history, it still remains considerable charm. In the city tour, you have a chance to visit the private quarters of the Royal Palace which now are home to the royal family. Silver Pagoda lies in the northern area of the palace grounds, is the most sacred temple in the country. We may also climb up a small hill to visit Wat Phom and enjoy a stunning view of the surrounding areas.
A sightseeing tour of Phnom Penh starts with a visit to the National Museum, which contributed exclusively to Khmer art and sculpture. Most of the exhibits are from the Angkor period from 9th to 15th century, some date from as early as the 4th century. Then go on with the Russian Market, where you can buy anything from food to souvenirs. Besides, the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek cannot be ignored. Head out of town where we visit the Tonle Bati with Ta Prohm and Prasat Yeay Peo Temple.
Day 02: Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham – Kompong Thom Adventure (B, L)
The overland expedition begins with departing the town and pass through the biggest growing rubber area in Cambodia to Kampong Cham. The deep contrast of abundant vegetation and red surface of basaltic soil is all along the way. On the way to Kampong Cham, visit the beautiful French colonial architecture and Wat Nokor containing the ancient temple and modern pagoda.
The next stop in our trip is Kampong Thom. Stopover at Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei, two hills owns names translated as the “man hill” and the “woman hill”. Check-in the hotel before visiting some nearby villages and climb 980 steps to the top of Phnom Santuk for an impressive sunset view over the surrounding areas.
Day 03: Kampong Thom – Siem Reap Sightseeing (B, L, D)
After breakfast, drive to the archeological site of Sambor Prei Kuk, which is dotted with hundred pre-Angkor styled temples. The spectacular scenery of the ancient ruins with a mixture of temples and forests.
Transfer to Siem Reap by roads, go through the charming Khmer countryside. The town of Siem Reap is a basement for visiting the world-famous temples of the ancient city Angkor. These temples here has it own distinctive draw that absolutely makes you enjoyable.
Day 04: Siem Reap – Angkor Tours (B)
Spend a full day exploring the ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom which is famous for Bayon Temple where is outstanding with stone smiling faces, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, and the Elephant Terrace. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century, which covers an area of around 210 ha. Then stroll around the massive edifice, see many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple.
Day 05: Angkor Wat Exploration (B)
Visit Ta Prohm covered by the jungle which is an incredible sight. There are gigantic fig trees and enormous creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure which give the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature.
Apart from that, explore the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Chau Say Tevado. Before walking up to Phnom Bakheng Hill for a spectacular view of the sunset over the sandstone monuments, visit Preah Khan, Kravan, Neak Pean, Ta Som and Pre Rup Temples in the afternoon.
Day 06: Siem Reap Departure (B)
Embark on a short cruise on after breakfast. This is the biggest natural water body of Cambodia, which gives you a wonderful experience when you pass by a floating village where have friendly children in small boats and fishermen at work. Transfer to Siem Reap Airport and the trip ends.
